Re: Driver door needed

The doors on 1955 through 58 are identical. You should be able to trip over these at swap meets or ebay.

Re: Driver door needed

1955 to 1959 are identical. Driver's side doors, however, are becoming harder to come by.

Re: Driver door needed

Well, I have two and neither one is very good. I could skin either if they make a skin for them. One needs the bottom inner panel and hinge pocket but appears to have some sort of patch over th original skin already at the bottom. The other I haven't looked at closely. It was in the bed of the truck whe I bought it. I assume it is bad, it has no hinges on it. I haven't seen any around my swap meets here in KY. What does a good door go for as far as cost?

Thanks again.

You can buy the skins from brothers I just done this. inside and out. Now for the hinge that is a separate piece so make sure you order it. I had to do both doors and I really did not like the skins for the outside (seem a little thin to me) so I modified them. I only used the bottom and the side and I went a brought some 18 gauge sheet and and and filled it in. The inner patch panel is great please do not get the short one and try to save money its not worth it, get the larger inner panel and replace the whole thing its just a nicer patch panel. I did both of my doors , but my doors were toast. I had to buy 2 outter skins, 2 inner skins, and 2 hinge supports. With a little filler I should be good to go.
