Will this th350 fit in my 72 c10 4x4 lwb?

I am running out of time on this auction a wondered what you guys thought. Will this replace my old th350? Will it fit right in or will I need an adapter? I can have it picked up, as my bother lives nearby... so no shipping.
Should I buy a rebuilt tranny on Ebay anyway?

I don't see a reason why it won't fit. I did notice that there is not a torque convertor in it. Spend the money and buy a new one. If you don't, whatever debris is in the old convertor will run through the new tranny making it short lived.

Re: Will this th350 fit in my 72 c10 4x4 lwb?

My transmission is still in the truck. I am kind of new to this and really don't know which converter I need. I see a lot of them on ebay for th350s but the prices range from $80 to $400. My dad is going to help me with the removal/installation and has had over 50 years of rebuild experience. He has not however rebuilt a transmission.

Thats a good price for a full rebuild. No WARRANTY??? What about a discount if you give him your old core?

I dont think I would say it is a full rebuild, he doesnot say anything about replacing the bushings, bearings or thrust washers, or the sprag clutch for that matter. Still a good deal though if you dont have to pay for shipping.

i agree, get yours rebuilt since you need a converter anyway. It could be a good tranny but for how long?
