Long time no write...I'm glad to be back.
I Guys and Gals...
Well it has been a long time since I have visited this sight and at one time I was pondering selling my truck. But after a lot a deliberation I kept the truck in storage and now I plan on the slow rebuild of my truck. I am now glad that I kept all the NOS parts that I have purchased over the years. Hopefully I will be able to haul my truck from Arcanum over my way (Zanesville) this summer. My wife always jokes that the only time she see's it running is when it's behind a tow truck. Ouch!! It will need a lot of work but for now it is setting safely in the barn just waiting for some tlc. As I read some of the recent post I was glad to see some of the old names and to see a lot of new names. It's good to see this hobby continue to grow. It's also good to see that many of the same suppliers are still supplying parts for our trucks. Stability is always a plus in this hobby. Well that's all for now and I look forward to re-uniting with all the fine people who enjoy the hobby of these fine and classic trucks. Well it's time to catch up on a lot of past posts. 70cst 67-72 Chevy and GMC Trucks-A classic for the common folks! |

Welcome back from one of the new guys. I have bought and sold and wrenched on these old trucks since they were new. But I just found this site and the fine folks that hang out here a little over a year ago. So I'm playing catch up on the workings of a truck board and enjoying the ride. I'm sure you'll be back up to speed in no time. Good luck with your truck build.

Yes - Welcome back. And there's another guy we don't hear from like we use to - Mudder.
I still want to know what happened to JunkYardJohn. I know he moved and came back on line for awhile but now has disappeared again.

I was in the same spot as you. Glad you decided to keep your truck and hope the build goes well. Hopefully I can start my build sometime soon but am still working on a garage for it.

Glad to see you and Mudder again. I believe I used to talk to both of you on the chat line a few years ago. Then I was toomanytoys. I had been gone so long I couldn't figure out how to log in with that name again so here I am.

Re: Long time no write...I'm glad to be back.
I have come to the conclusion that once you get bit with the 67-72 Chevy-GMC bug...you have it for life. As I look back I am really glad I didn't sell my nos stuff that I have purchased over the years. They are all safely stored in my attic. I think the best part of this hobby are the folks and the vendors. For the most part everyone on board represents the "hot dog, apple pie, & Chevrolet" type of people. Oh yes there are exceptions but I still think 99.99% of the people in this hobby represent the cross section of what makes America great. What I have noticed are that many of the present vendors are the vendors of 3-5 years ago. That's why I have purchased from these suppliers because they are the ones who took the risk and started a business supporting this hobby. Yes we could go elsewhere and get cheaper but to me there is a difference between those who are in business just to make a buck and those who want to make a living while supporting this hobby. But that’s just my humble opinion. See you all later.
