USA made parts from Advance Auto

I went to the local Advance Auto yesterday to pick up some points, a condensor, a dist cap, and a coil for the scap yard truck.

Being the eternal tight wad, I took the cheapest ones. GP Sorensen brand.

I was pleasantly surprised to see "made in the USA" on the points, dist cap, and the condensor box.

Quality is evident on the points, they are thick steel pressings. The distributer is thick and heavy, not like the south of the border budget caps from orilliezone. Unfortunatly the coil is hecho in Mexico.

No comment on performance yet (not installed), but it felt good to get budget parts made in the US. It is something I think we would all like to see more of.
