progress pictures of tearing apart the truck

well, tearing is appropriate to describe this process, i pr obalbly didnt even need to unbolt the cab, just get under neath it and push up real hard, im sure the bolts would have given, i will post pictures later of how much the bolts had corroded, but this should be enough for now.

here is my tranny, gonna drop it in with the whole body off, then hook it up and rig it somehow and see if it works as well as the guy said it would, never thought of driving down the road going 30 miles and hour with nothing but an engine tranny and frame, but if it can be done i will do it!

and last but not least, the bed, 68 Suburban has talked me into having this thing sand blasted, he mentioned this after he had helped me take the tranny out of the ebd and place it gently on my garage floor, and then gracefully helped me remove my bed. for some reason i had remembered it being much lighter. but we managed to get it to the floor with out so much as a dent (big anyway) thanks 68 Suburban. and yes those are new fender you see in the background, also got new inners. now im on the prowl for a rust free rad support.

I remember as a kid seeing bare bus frames being delivered to the bodybuilders by a driver wearing a motorcycle helmet and leathers, sat on a seat in an open plywood cab. I say bolt a seat on and go for it!

When did you get back on ? Looking good. My daughter was in Phoenix last week all week and I gave her your old #. Couldn't find the cell #. Tried to get ahold of you before she came out there. Will PM you.
