Another brake Question
When you install a booster/mc from a 73-up donor,why do you have to extend the pushrod? It does not make sense to me because the throw of the rod should be the same-not increased.Has anybody NOT extended the pushod? Did it work fine? I dont care about the bumper,cause I can fab one if want to.Thanks

The throw does stay the same, however, if it has to reach further to meet the piston, then you'll have to lengthen the pushrod.
While I am unfamiliar with the master cylinder from the ugly years, it sounds like the piston is concave, and you have a further distance to reach. |
