I had a set on my 87, sold them for $100. I think they were aftermarket alcoa.
You can put the late model wheels on. You have to ream out the center, a machine shop can usually do it for around $20 per wheel for the aluminum.
I have the new style chrome clad steel, I just burned out an extra 1/4" in the center. You can then modify the oem caps for the front. Mine are on a trailer, so no caps. But for $10 a wheel new take offs, I couldn't pass.
As for opening the center on aluminum, I once bought a set of the kidney beans for my wife's old bronco that had too small centers for the front hubs. I used a trim router with a straight cut bit- carbide- and they came out nice.
