New member introduction w/pics
Hi all!
I have been lurking around here daily for the last few weeks. I have found this site to be extremely informative, with a bunch of very respectful members. I have been looking for a 67-72 for the last year or so. A coworker who had been helping me look ended up selling me his. Basically it was just what I wanted and decided to sell it to me. He has owned the truck for the last 7 years. It was a complete ground up restore. He did it right from the start and that is what sold me on the truck. The truck is a rust free original. He patched one hole on the floor a couple inches long, that's it. He was building it to be a daily driver for himself. Pretty much everything you can replace, he did. Only new sheet metal are the fenders. Enough with the background...here it is: '68 350/700r4, PS/PB/A/C/5 lug/Posi w/3.08's/ tilt column/ etc. Will have the bed on soon. Just needs bolted on. Its got a custom fuel door at the rear of the bedside. Hope to enjoy talking to you all in the future. Plans are to run it satin black and enjoy it for awhile. |

Nice truck! I like it, I noticed you were planning on keeping it satin for a while, what color were you thinking when you get around to painting it?
Welcome, you will enjoy your stay I am sure

Re: New member introduction w/pics
Nice, I love a good straight truck with a smooth black paint job on it. I almost did mine that way, but it really needed a new hood and new bedsides so it went lighter.

Re: New member introduction w/pics
Welcome
I really like the look of your truck :cool Those center caps look like they are from a Chevy Astro van? Is that brace behind the fuel cell from Early Classic? It looks like the same one I am using Is that a FuelCellGuy (Mark Fowler) rear fuel cell? A few members are using his tanks in our projects
