Quick starter wiring question
Hey all,
I'm finally converting my truck to an internal regulated alternator. The wiring was fried, so I'm rewiring it with a nice uncut underhood harness from another truck. The question: I noticed on my truck (it's now and HEI) that I only have the battery cable (top post) and purple wire (post closest to the engine block) hooked up to the starter. Now that the coil is gone, do I still need to hook up the yellow wire? Or do I leave it unhooked? Thanks

Thats what I thought, so I only need the two wires I have hooked up now.

Re: Quick starter wiring question
The wires comming off of the fire wall behind the fuse block. I cleaned up the one that is for the engine. due to me haveing mech. water and oil gauges i took out the wires for those so all I have left is the pink for the dist., brown for the brakes, and the one for the starter(forgot the color) and ran it behind the engine to hide them.
