newer truck for older truck?
Ive been telling my wife that I dont really care for this 89 4X4 that I have & may get rid of it and get another 67-72 beater for a daily driver. She said she could tell that I dont like it and agreed that it was probably a good idea. I guess Ill wait until spring & see about trading for one or just doing the buy/sell thing. Any comments on this? Smart, dumb idea?
Heres my 89... Last edited by corn; 10-10-2009 at 12:19 PM. |

Follow your heart...Follow your heart.
Getting a a truck is like getting hitched...once you see your future partner you will know it.

Re: newer truck for older truck?
I would do it. If I had a truck like that, I would probably trade it for a 73-87 model, since I have a '68 already.

I'd sell it and go for a 98-02 model Silverado with the 5.3. Those are my favorites

Re: newer truck for older truck?
It needs some work & if I have to work on something, I could get into it more if it was older. Im not a big 4X4 guy either. If it was a 2wd fleet, Id be a lot happier with it...

Re: newer truck for older truck?
Just remember,to sell it you'll have to fix it up. Then you won't want to sell it any more.
