Truck in santa cruz
I am trying to buy a truck in santa cruz, are there any board members in santa cruz who could pick up and hold this truck for me until I can come pick it up in 3 weeks. The present owner is moving out of state in a few days and it will be between 2&3 weeks before I can get there to pick it up.Anybody in santa cruz or close by who can help me?

Re: Truck in santa cruz
The truck is a 71 not a 72 as I said earlier. It is a 3/4 ton with a 350.I found the truck on craigslist and have been talking with the owner for about a week.He has sent me good pics and I am happy with the truck. He is leaving thurs for the virgin islands and will have to leave the truck with his brother parked in the street or with a close friend close by.I feel pretty confident with him but I have been screwed a few times in my life so I'm nervous about him leaving it with someone else.I am planning on making payment tomorrow.JunkyardJohn inspected the one I bought in Carson city NV ''ALL HAIL JOHN" a helluva good man and one I am proud to have met in person. He made the last trip west a vacation for me and I returned the favor by doing few repairs around the house for him while I was there .I am still beholden to him and I can't wait to go visit him now that he is in Kentucky and only a few hours away.Even if someone can't store it I would like to at least get someone to go meet the seller in person for me and access the situation.I will reimburse anyone in driving distance for their gas and time.I will also make a donation of $100 to the board in the name of whoever helps me and Junkyard John for the help I recieve before.Help me find someone guys.

Re: Truck in santa cruz
i have a buddy in fremont that might be able to store it , i'll check with him tomorrow if you can get it towed/dropped there. if you can get it to me, i'll store it as long as it runs and is currently registered, i'm a couple hours from santa cruz though.

Re: Truck in santa cruz
Hey Junkie, I live about 30 minutes from Santa Cruz, CA. I would be willing to have it parked in my driveway until you get here. If you need also, my brother and I can make a trip and pick it up. Is it drivable or do you want it on a trailer? By the way, I live in Salinas, CA, which is just south of Santa Cruz. PM me if this works for you and I'll give you my number.
Mike
