Gettin her back togeather.
Today I managed to get my truck starting and running with the key and most of the front clip on. Started off with a very rought long bed parts truck from my brother 67. Fixed up all the rust but still have to put my rockers and cab corners back in after my alineing issue and decided to go swb so I took a short step 71 gmc very rusted and completely redid the frame put my cab on it put my front clip from a 72 c10 and one of my vortec engines and a turbo 350 I had sitting around. Also detailed the engine and clust up with some grabber green for that extra pop. I am feeling good about my truck and got that extra boost of faith when it fired up with open headers and scared a group of mexican working on a house across the road. Now I'm gonna go to work and puck up the few parts i ned to finish hooking my brakes to the master cylinder and some hose and fitting to hook up my fuel pump. So mabe if I can get all put on tomarrow between work and school ( 2 and a half hours ) I'll take it up the road to do some burn outs and test my brakes. I'll have to put on some picks later since I have got to go to work now.
Here is a pick of engine and cluster.

it was raining the day I took that pick that was when I had my engine sitting in my truck when it was a lwb but never ran it then.

Quite color co-ordinated. My wife would approve.

When you get it all back together ya need to find a pair of those 80's neon wipers to match. I'm not usually into neon but I saw your engine on another post and its growing on me. Keep us posted. Good luck with your planed work detail.

Re: Gettin her back togeather.
Im not a neon green kind of guy, but theres something about the painted intake with the black that I really like. I like the firewall panel & no inner wheel wells. More pics please...
