Re: What did your truck cost & When did you buy it & Where?
#! Bought brand new by My great grand father in Monroe WA.
Was free to me but has cost me 10k to this point (projected 20K+) #2 Been around my whole life #3 C20 350/350 with AM radio, HD springs and Hugger orange paint. #3a Options now 402/400/GV, A/C, Air ride and (Primer) #4 I would rate the truck a 4-5 when I got it getting to a 10 slowly I patched it up in high school with help from my grandfather while I drove the heck out of it like 16-18 year olds do. Then joined the Air force and it pretty much sat for 9 years till. My grandmother and grandfather gave it too me after driving it 1.9K mile to drop it off all the while towing a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville and after going into the ditch once (Pic 1 before most recent rodstoration) (Pic 2 as it sits now)

Re: What did your truck cost & When did you buy it & Where?
Bought my '72 $1300.00 in '99, from a co-worker, was in pretty rough shape, but he let me make payments. Frame up has started.

Re: What did your truck cost & When did you buy it & Where?
1) When did you purchase your truck and purchase cost?
Valentines day 2003; $950. Sold extra parts that came with it for $50, net purchase price $900. 2) Where did you find your truck? Truck purchased from a local farm boy about 30 miles from my place. 3) Year, model, and factory options on your truck? 1970 GMC C1500 LWB fleetside. -A pillar mounted spotlight (dealer installed, even says GM on it's tag) -Westcoast mirrors -350 V8/3spd -Full Vinyl bench -Upper and lower trim -AM Radio -Rust 4) How did you find your truck? Saw truck in local paper's classifieds. I was pissed off because I had looked at a Fiero that didn't run and was told my vehicles had to run, so I saw this, called, drove, worked the seller down a little, and brought her home to a spot of glory in the driveway. I was promptly kicked into the street due to oil leaks. 5) Condition of your truck (1-10). At purchase 5, no rockers, little floors, ran okay, Corolla bucket seats that didn't match, but surface rust only on bed. Still wearing her original paint, although it was worn off on the fenders and doors where you lean over to work on the truck and drive with an arm out the window. Now I call it an 11, gotta have pride in your truck. The outside is pretty, the underside's still dirty, but the road's the only thing that sees that. I drive the crap out of it, I figure I bought it, why not break it? Everything's held up fine though, including the stock 3spd.

Re: What did your truck cost & When did you buy it & Where?
bought her last july or august, 2006, saw her sitting in a driveway on my way to work on some sprinklers for a new customer. (was afraid somebody else would get to her before i could get the job done.. found it in grantsville, utah
paid 400.00 i think. no motor, but has everythign else in it, plus the orginal exhust manifolds,,and other parts in it somewhere.. id say it is a 5, little rust, new rockers that are on it, pop riveted, so they got to be done right, one cab cornor is bad, other than that pretty solid. interior is alomst perfect, only the drivers side of seat is bad, even the rest of the seat looks great, shows around 69k on odmeter, but who knows for sure, could be 469k the more i look at the bed,,the more im thinking it is from a chevy, not sure though, but has chevy tail gate. options, has power steering sliding rear window, may not be factory factory tach, not sure about the rest of it still waiting for a motor

Re: What did your truck cost & When did you buy it & Where?
68 Chevy SWB, 327, Custom, 3 on the tree, A/C. Bought from original owner in Cyril, OK in May 1984 for $1500. Still have it...it's just the prettiest looking truck I've ever seen, red w/white cab.... back in the 80s made a couple of trips back and forth from OK to MA and hauled 2 Corvettes back to OK. Have bought and sold several trucks over the years...this is a keeper.

Re: What did your truck cost & When did you buy it & Where?
1) Dec 2004 in Corpus Christi, TX.
2) Backyard of an old co-worker's house. 3) 1969, Blazer 4x4, passenger seat, rear seat, chrome bumpers, gauge dash, manual lockouts, side mouldings. 4) A former co-worker told me about it. 5) 4. Mostly solid, engine ran but not well, brakes barely worked, most of the electricals were jacked up, lots of rust in the rockers and other common areas.

Re: What did your truck cost & When did you buy it & Where?
March, 2004 - I was at the car wash looking at the photo ads and saw it -called the guy, went to look at it - was 50-50 (at 50' and 50mph it looked good) but the motor was very strong and the body was straight - very little rust - paid him $2800.00 for it. Actually gave him an extra $100.00 because I was so happy with it (He almost collapsed) and I still think I got a good deal.

Re: What did your truck cost & When did you buy it & Where?
When I was in college, in '77, I bought a '59 f#rd shortie for $400.00 -straight 6 motor, 4 speed. Put gas in it and drove it straight 800 miles home on bald tires. No oil change, nothin'. I guess I figured if it was gonna let me down I wanted to know right away. Despite it's heritage, it served me well until I wrecked it.
