Re: horn won't shut up!
Loose horn cap...splayed wire with a strand hanging out.
Bad horn relay?

Re: horn won't shut up!
Sounds like the horn wire that runs up the column may be touching metal either on the shaft (pinched) or under your steering wheel.
The way the horn works is you have a relay ( right of the fuse box)that has power to it and the horn button provides a ground for the contact coil so for any reason it touches metal and (grounds) the horn will honk. |

Re: horn won't shut up!
I experienced the same thing when I installed my Flaming River steering column. One minute it worked fine then a day later down the highway HOOOOOONk. I couldn't find the problem so yank!

Re: horn won't shut up!
as said it can be the wire in the column it's also very common with a poorly installed non stock steering wheel

Re: horn won't shut up!
Ever since I put on a different steering wheel my horn has been acting up as well but it has to do with the way I reinstalled the horn ring I think. I saw a diagram somewhere on the net but lost it.
Have you guys seen the vid on the net where the fella wired his buddies horn into his brakes? Funny stuff.
