Help! Alignment specs for 71 3/4ton
I need the alignment specs for a '71 3/4 ton 2wd longbed. Everytime I take my truck in to get aligned they use specs for an 85 chevy truck- makes my truck track all funny, wears the outside edges of the tires, you gotta be awake when driving it or the slightest groove/bump in the road makes it pull bad.
thanks, Steve

Re: Help! Alignment specs for 71 3/4ton
Steve, the specs for the 85 should be just fine for your truck. Are you running radial or bias-ply tires?
Caster 2.0-3.5 positive more if possible, but it must be close the the same side to side. With the right side number a little bigger than left. Camber 0.0-.50 degree positive Toe 1/16 positive, most shops will follow GM specs and set the toe to 1/8 or more and it will wear the outside edges off. These specs should work great for RADIAL tires. If you are still running old bias tires the specs are a bit different. Jason |

Re: Help! Alignment specs for 71 3/4ton
I've got radial tires, on 16.5" rims, soon will be switching to a 16" rim... once i find an 8 lug rim that i think looks right.
Thanks for the info!
