350 interchange question
One quick question about 350's:
will a 1972 intake manifold fit on a 1987-1992 long block? Thanks in advance! Bill |

I think you could not use the new style alt bracket, maybe some others.
Honestly, unless it is a sweet manifold, you are better off buying a modern one, you will get better power and milage.

Yes, they work fine. You'll need to slightly enlongate the two center intake bolt holes on each side of the manifold. If you'll notice, the later heads have the two center bolts on each side at a more vertical angle than the earlier heads.
If you'll search, I've posted pics on here before of an intake that I did it to. Only takes a second to do the grinding.
