The one that got away...
I could have bought this truck about a year ago, just the way it sits for $800. It sports a built 327 decked out in Edelbrock goodies, 700R4, fiberglass tonneau cover and a lot of billet accents. I had too many home projects going on so I passed on it at the time, the guy sold it for $1200 to this car dealer who's been sitting on it's $3500 price tag ever since. I no longer drive that stretch of road.... too depressing.

Re: The one that got away...
We all can point fingers and give wise azz remarks. I experienced that myself with a mid 80's swb chevy with a built up 454 with a nice radical cam for $3500. It was clean and mean and I had the money. At the time it didn't seem like a practical vehicle and I ended up buying the 85 lwb I have now. I still wish so bad that I had bought that truck just for a weekend toy/cruiser. It was lowered with chrome wheels and all. I still cuss myself for letting that one slip away. I still drive by that lot and since then I've spotted a really nice white lwb. I'll just get my swb up and running instead. AINT life great! Sorry for the long post just thought I would share my experience.

Someone dumped a ton of money into it at one time, but re-used the rusty inner fenders and the cab corners weren't cleaned up well, so they need to be replaced now. Other than that and a few missing interior pieces, it would have made a hell of a show truck. |
