4 speed code number question...
My buddy has a four speed in his panel truck and we're trying to Id the tranny. There are two numbers on the case...6281884 and 6261886. We thought this was a Muncie M21, but those numbers match nothing I can find online. Anyone know what it is? Here's a link to the numbers pic...

That's the first chart I have seen the Saginaw 441 on it. This one has three holes in the side cover like his does and the reverse lever is located on the case. I'll bet that's it. Thanks for the chart link!

Here is information for Muncie Tranies. The one in the picture is not Muncie , or an M-21 . Is a Saginaw. Reverse is not at the shift cover with Muncie. only Saginaw is reverse at the shift cover.....

That was the first site that I saw after googling....two posts up from yours was the key link, it had a pic of the Saginaw 441 he has. Once I had that number I found one on ebay with the same codes on it. Thanks everyone for the help!
