I like the Billets, and your black chrome treatment makes them really stand out. But I can't come up with the $1,000 a wheel to make it happen...

Thanks for the pictures. After seeing the wheels on the second truck, I'm now convinced the "busy" wheels I was thinking of are not right for my ride. You guys were right all along - I admit it.

After boxrodz photoshopped the black cragar looking wheels, I emailed coys to see if they could do it black instead of gray. I'm waiting on their reply...

I found some new prospects this weekend from Venti wheels. I've never heard of the brand before, but I like their styling. I can't find much info on them, so I'm not sure they make these in a 5 on 5 pattern. I'll have to call and see Monday. What do you think?

Re: 20" or 22" wheel sizing tips

Now thats a sporty looking wheel. You definetly need to lowered the truck with a nice rake to finish the look. I like either one of those. Man your coming up with some nice ideas. You can sell your current wheels to help offset the price of the new ones your planning to purchase.

Re: 20" or 22" wheel sizing tips

I'd like to sell the ole' Cragars. They're old and have some rust, but they still look good from 10 ft. The tires are about 80%. I was thinking of bringing them to the get together this summer. Maybe something will turn up then.

Thanks for the idea 84.

Yeah, those rat tails are $$$$$. I thought it would be interesting to see 'someone' do some black chrome detailings on a billet wheel.

If Coy cannot do black centers, you could always buy them and have a local jobber powder coat (or paint) them black for you (and have them powder coat clear on the polished portion for ease of maintenance.)

If you can get an off-angle shot of your truck, I'll try to chop your truck with those Venti's.

Boxrodz, you're the man! I'll get some off angle shots tomorrow. (It's raining today).

Would you be interested in a set of 20" tt 2 with the gray spokes for $1800 with tires? They are used but the wheels are mint.

Boxrodz

I was out of town and didn't get any off angle shots. BUT, I did come up with these 6 spokes. Would you be interested in doing a little choppity chop? Now that I look, they're a little off angle also. I might need new pics for these as well...

I'll try to get some new pictures in the next few days. Let me know how else I can make this easier on you.

Will you be at the board wide meeting in July?

Re: 20" or 22" wheel sizing tips

Here's mine with 22x10's. They are with 6"b/s on rear and 7"b/s on front. 325/40 rear and 285/35 front.

This pic is kinda old....try to get some newer ones on here soon.

The angle of the 6 spokes are too bad. But, the 6 spokes are also 6 lugs and won't fit the 5 lug pattern. If you still would like too see them on the truck, just let me know. I think I can chop them.

Aside from having similar angles for both the truck and the wheels, having them proportionally similar in size helps maintain the resolution. For example, the resolution of the 6 spokes will be somewhat compromised when reduced to the size needed for the truck pic.
But, it give you an idea on how it'll look on your truck.

I plan on attending a couple of regional shows and a couple of local shows, but unfortunately, I won't be attending the meet in big MO. But, maybe someday... I never really have attended a show of predominantly trucks.

Boxrodz

Thanks for the tips on the pictures. I appreciate any help I can get on this. I'll do my best to make it as easy as possible for you. It's raining again, so I'll have to wait on pictures.

They also make that wheel in a 5 lug, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'll look around online for some smaller pictures. We'll see...

Speaking of wheels, is the truck in your avatar sporting smoothie wheels? If so, can I see a full size picture? I like the ones Centerline has to offer.

Too bad you aren't going to be at the meet in July. I'd like to buy you a beer or something for all your help on these photo shops!

Crush

Your truck looks sweet on those 22's. I'd love to do wheels that big, but I'm afraid the roads around good ole' Kansas City are a little too rough for that. I'd be bending them left and right...

Re: 20" or 22" wheel sizing tips

you should be able to go to a wheel shop and theyll be abl to tell you every wheel in their catalogues sizing and backspacing etc. then go home and search the wheel s that are available and you like to get a better price.there really arent near as many wheels available for our trucks due to the large center bore section of our rotors

Finally getting back on it. I've been pretty busy with changing career paths and family for the past 18 months.

I'll post up some newer pics. The motor is done finally, trans is in, fuel cell mounted under frame and all fuel lines/-AN fitting finally done. Doing the rear-end rebuild along with Cal-Tracs and LPW Racing dif cover and axle braces hopefully this weekend.

Thanks everyone...hopefully it'll be on the road very soon!

Yeah, it's sporting billet smoothies similar to what Centerline offers. BTW, I heard reports that the front rotors have to be machined to fit the center caps. But, that it's doable...

I posted the pic back in the thread for grinch4om.
