47-54 bed pics please
Im building my own bed that will allow me to raise up my rear fenders so I can lay my running boards on the ground with my 20's. Im Looking for any and all pictures yall may have of your bed, friends bed, or just a bed you've seen. Please keep the pics limited to 47-54, thanks.

Re: 47-54 bed pics please
Hey long time no talk. Marc here from Michigan.
Are you sure that you need to raise the fenders? On mine, I raised the floor about 2" to clear the frame. I think that as long as I trim the inner fender braces I should be OK. My truck is about 1 5/8 in the back from laying out. I would need to change my notch and move my disc brake calipers in order to layout. I am not sure if I want to go through that for 1 5/8. I will post some pics of my bed tomorrow for you. My bed looks stock other then the inner fenders that I added in order to run a 10" wide rim. |

Re: 47-54 bed pics please
yea the tires bottom out in the fenders when the running boards are about 1.5 inches from the ground
since I went though hell getting the frame to lay running board on 20's, I will raise the bed with my fenders so that I can extend the bottom of the fenders to meet back with my running boards. I will extend the bottom of the bedsides and back piece as well so that everything looks "right" I've given this alot of thought, I just need pictures to finalize my idea. |

Here are some pics
Notice the distance between the boards and the rear cross sill. This will give you an idea of how much the floor has been raised. I am curious what size tires do you plan on using? |

Where did you get the tubs for the bed? Are they from a stepside bed or for a different application?
