73 Old Style???
I got the big GMC promotion poster and they show a 72 that has a 73 year listed on it. Did Gm make 1/2 a year or is this a typo? You would think that of all people GM would get it right, they should know?? I know in 87 they phased in the 5.7 tpi and them a couple of year later the blazers/suburbans followed bodystyle. Now the 2007 classics are being replaced 1/2 year with the new bodystyle. Wondering if GM did this in 72-73 but I have never seen a 73 old bodystyle truck??

Re: 73 Old Style???
NO,that phase-in B.S. started in`87 with the new`88s coming out early with the Blazers and Suburbans being more of a truck than the trucks`til`92.

Re: 73 Old Style???
Most people can't tell a 67 from a 68... or a 69-70 from a 71 or 72.
That's how you sometimes get some great deals on EvilBay!!

Re: 73 Old Style???
vjthibeault, I think there's a couple states that title the vehicle from the year it was sold... that could explain that. Also, we've all met the crazy old coot that simply doesn't remember, and swears up and down that he does.

Re: 73 Old Style???
I remember for years, once they got older, guys would call them all`72s.I`d pull up in my lowered red`68 and I`d here,"Hey,nice`72",thumb-up and all.I`d just give a thumb-up back and smile.
