How Much .... $$$.

Can any one tell me what a fare price would be for a stock intake, carb, air cleaner and heat shielding be for a 71 Chevy P/UP.

If you lived closer to me, I would cut you a deal on the carb, riser, and air cleaner.

Re: How Much .... $$$.

My poke at it would be around $50.The manifold is incidental, the air cleaner and shields are old parts that are unique to the vehicle and good finds.Yet,not really worth alot.By themselves,I`d say $25ish.I`d figure on the carb needing rebuilt. If the carb is freshly rebuilt,I`d pay what that cost and maybe $20 more.
I like quadrajets.I don`t think most people value them so highly and just go to the new replacements. So,although I`d prefer a Q-jet,they don`t seem to hold a high price...yet.

Hi there Bandit,

There are about three of us on the Island that I know of. I was thinking of posting a thread to see if there are any others. If you send me a PM I'll fill you in on the particulars of where I live, my e/mail address etc. (be sure to include your e/mail address.)
