1987 gmc
My son just picked up this truck from his Uncle. He is 15 years old and this will be our first project together . Let us know any ideas for this project.
Thanks |

Personally I would patch the holes, ditch the topper, keep the color, if you're keeping it stock height put some 31" tires on it if you're lowering it needs bigger rims, take the running boards off, shine up those mirrors and a general cleaning/straightening under the hood and dash is in order. What does your son want out of the truck? |

Clean it up real good inside and out and under the hood DUMP the Grandpa topper.
Fix any mechanical & electrical discrepancies. Fix all the rust. Then if he has any cash left then he can do some custom stuff or upgrades. Not a bad truck for a 15 YO to cut his auto teeth on, it'll keep him at home and out of trouble for a little while anyway's |

Awesome looking truck! What does he want out of it. Either lower it or raise it a little and defiantly ditch the topper and running boards. Shine it up and fix all the little dings and spots and it will be good to roll!
