Southbound & Down

Guys & Gals,
Leaving tonight on another parts retrieval adventure. Will be heading to Conyers GA to pick up a BBC and 4-speed from Tim (uncle), and then up to Southern Pines NC to pick up a 292 and some Burb parts from Steve (qksilver). Please keep me and Rachel in your thoughts and prayers as we test the maximum load range of a Chevy Astro van! See you guys in a few days. Take care, Mike

Re: Southbound & Down

Good luck on the parts run with the Astra van. I don't know how much weight they will haul but a friend of mine left my shop a few years back with 11 th350 transmissions in one going back to Troy Tn. from Paris. His wife was not a happy camper when he got home. (it was her van) It all started when he saw my stockpile of trannies and asked if I would let any of them go. I saw he was in his wife's nearly new Astra van not his old 68 pickup. I told him he could take as many as he could haul in that van and the next thing I knew he was loading up. He never did get all the stains out of the seats and carpet of that van.

Re: Southbound & Down

Jason, Andy, Bill, Ron and Liz, thanks for the well wishes. I have my TWO tablets full of #s with me, but hopefully I won't need them at all. It's always nice to know that you have 29,000 friends watching your back! Now THAT'S peace of mind! See you all in a few days, Mike
