Rear disk brakes

I just saw a 70,s pickup with rear disk brakes, Does anyone know whether Chevy made them factory, or is this a aftermarket setup. He is parting this out, I have never seen factory rear disk brakes. Ernest

Re: Rear disk brakes

I'd say it's an aftermarket upgrade... I don't think Chevy had factory disks on trucks until the late 90's (if then). CPP has them or there are some board vendors that offer a kit and you can use Impala or Camaro Calipers....

Re: Rear disk brakes

This isn't a factory option for these trucks. How ever there are several board vendors that sell the kits.

I know glock35ipsc sells the brackets to use the late model impalla ss calipers but you would have to contact him for exact details.
