First photos of my '69 Stepside...
Did some carb tinkering and some washing and waxing. Got my rally caps on and painted the wheels a dark grey metallic. Here it is up over La Jolla shores. I'll shine up the engine tomorrow...
The Chevy is back in business. The new F*rd truck is getting a bath tomorrow also so it can go up for sale, and go back where it belongs, in the driveway of some yuppie bastard.

I'm not too thrilled about the color, it's an "old" color but it works well with the stepside. Sort of a baby blue-grey, I think Chevy used to paint their old 6-cylinder motors this color. The tach goes up to 5000, I run it past that though pretty often.

Re: First photos of my '69 Stepside...
That`s funny you say that you`re at the trailhead.I think that must be what brought it to mind.I was going to say something about the Torre Pines when I read you were above La Jolla Shores, but I saw the last picture and they weren`t around. It still looks familiar after a looooong time.
The truck is nice, something I`d like to have to cruise around in,for sure.
