Neutral Safety Switch

How do these things work? On my column, the shifter can only be in one distinct position for the motor to turn over. If its even a fraction off it wont turn over...what is the cause of this?? thanks for any help

Re: Neural Safety Switch

out of adjustment..
andy...longhorn man has stated the best adjust procedure i have seen yet.

make sure your linkage is good and thight and adjusted correctly.
put the truck in reverse with the key on. parking brake on.
and loosen the two screws and adjust till the reverse lights come on. tighten down.

enjoy many miles of happy driving.

i might just replace it while i was there too.

hope this help's your pal mark

***safety note do this on a level surface. away from anything.
and make sure your e-brake is working in case it decides to try to turn over and surprise you..***
