spedo cable conversion
I have a 76 k5 blazer. I took out the t-350 and put in a t-400 with a 208 t-case. I thought the spedo cable would work, but it was streached to far and has broken on the inside.
Can I get a new cable for a 80 or so 3/4 ton with a t-400 or will it be too short as well due to the 208 t-case. I'm not sure what year they actually started using that t-case. Thanx, Seth

Re: spedo cable conversion
You should be able to get a universal cable that will work also. The 208 started in 1981 in 1/2 ton trucks, probably later in 3/4 and 1 tons. I do know that the TH400 was available until 87-88 or so, and probably used the 208 by then.

Re: spedo cable conversion
Thanx, knowing what year it started is a big help. I can just make sure I get one for 81 or newer and I'm sure it will be right length.
Seth
