Re: What did you get done? 4/22/07
saturday was my brothers wedding, so that consumed most of the day.
today I flipped my carrier bearing mount and got my trailing arms installed with new bushings and paint after getting media blasted. I also finished removing the rear springs. after that, i did a mock up of my home made lowering block and new U bolts. |

Re: What did you get done? 4/22/07
I put rockers on my 70 SWB that I making my daily driver. This morning I came out to find somebody had helped themself to the stereo out it. Thats just fine ,it didnt work anyway and they didnt do any damage to the dash. I hope the moron doesnt come back and try to steal the non working cassette out of my other truck!
I started cleaning out my 72 C-20 and started disassembling it. I'll probably pull the front clip and bed off this week. Next weekend I hope to have cab corners and rockers on it. Hey IvelDesigns , Is that a 2" piece of tube youre using? I was thinking about doing the same to my SWB. I'm trying to keep the truck low buck.

Re: What did you get done? 4/22/07
The weather finally worked in my favor & I was able to roll it out to start to clean the engine bay. I think I need a hot water pressure washer to get it better. But the Napa engine degreaser worked best.
I’m also going to drop the inner fender wells too. s/t

Re: What did you get done? 4/22/07
Got up saturday morning early. Went garage saling with the kids and wife. I did get some rear Onkyo rear channel speaks for my surround sound for 1.00. (no tools which is what i was after) Went to the inlaws. He gave me some rear u-bolts for the diff. Swapped steering wheels with him and installed his. Fixed the p/s on his truck. lol Its not even my truck anymore and im still working on it!!!!
Sunday got up early. Burned all the brush i had from a job last week. Went to Mcdonalds for breakfast. Got another account for mowing. Got a free dishwasher. Worked on the 67 (finally). I took the material my father inlaw put on, off and repainted the door card black. Used some zipties and seperated my plugwires, realigned the hood. Cleaned up the wiring a lil in the engine bay. The whole interior is brown with some funky colored material on the door cards and the seat.

Installed tranny in beater 1991 2-wheel drive ext-cab. Pulled seized 305 out of my son's 1986 c-10. (I am hoping he's learned his lesson on checking oil.) Did some re-organizing in garage. Also did a little electrical wiring for an outside outlet box. Always more projects looming and to-do-list is never completed.

Brother came up, went catfishin didnt catch a thing but a buzz. But had fun cruisin some dirt roads. Washed brake dust off rims, and cleaned front bumper. Almost washed the whole truck, but its not worth it, the only shiny thing is the front bumper anyways. Sunday took brothers 18' catamaran out to lake keowee then came home and grilled.

I finally found the battery drain on my Jimmy. I didn't realize the voltage regulator would drain the battery when it went bad. took me an hour to find that out

Re: What did you get done? 4/22/07
Sorry about the late reply but I went to my Grandfather's funeral in Loveland Colorado. It was a 13 hour drive from Missouri. He was real cool guy, a WWII and Korea veteran. Grandma gave me his medals. He entered the army air corps as an E-1 and worked his way up to Captain before he retired from the Air Force. The military burial service was awesome, fast but awesome. He and my grandmother had been married since 1943. He passed away in his sleep. He led a full life. It was somthing that we all knew would happen eventually but wished it never would.
I did see lots of nice trucks out there though.
