Longhorn man...

IT's turbo 400, right. So would it being low prevent it from enguaging in any gears?

Silly question but did you use a can of copmressed air and clean out the tranny coolant lines?

Hmm. Private message huh. Anyways, compressed air to blow out the lines. Why and when should you do that. Is that a maintence thing or just trouble shooting?

You should always blow and clean out the trans lines when installing a new or rebuilt trans. This removes any potential debris that was left over from the previous transmision. This may be a silly question but was the convertor bolted to the flexplate? and how may quarts have you put in?

he had poured in 5 qts on a fresh rebuild... his dipstick is missing.
Yes, your tranny needs way more... I'm thinking a fresh 400 would need about 12 quarts.
And this would not only keep it from moving, but the more you try to move it, the more damage you'll do. You need to get a dipstick ASAP, then more fluid.

Not trying to offend.But,you started a thread addressed to a particular member and I wasn`t sure what you were asking by your wording.I figured it was something between you and him,as in part of a private conversation.You got your answer,that`s the main thing.

Edit:I thought you might be refering to alignment w/o the TH400 space at the rear mount or something.

Yeh I know, no offence takin'. I'm buying a general application dipstick tomorrow since I still have the pieces I'll measure it properly.
