LOL...I think the tranny in tha back of the GMC instead of under the Longhorn makes the best anti-theft.
Badges would be cool, but not really needed. (it's a 70)
As for keeping the GMC, it's not so much a storrage issue as much as $$ flow issue. The money that will come from it's sale will help out on alot of things. A bill or two, a couple tires (the one ton has 2 raidials and 2 bias plys) and a butt load of other things that has been put off way too long.
As for getting a bed....PROTRUCKS is holding onto a rather nice (but ugly) one up in Michigan at a real good price...income tax return means road trip to the north.
Oh, Jason, you were making the tranny instalation sound like a PITA....I'll be using a real tranny jack from work. That makes it real easy.

heh heh heh Yup...a couple of them.
The GMC wouldn't do too well coming back from Kalamazoo with a Longhorn bed strapped on the top of it.
Plus, what we were talkin bout too.
