Arrow The "Post Your Wheel & Tire Pictures" Thread

Ok,so this area is a little empty so I thought I would start a new thread just to get some activity in here.
So the topic is....Post your wheels & tires pictures and show off them big tires you have on your rig. But,this isnt limited to big tires.Any set of tires will work....You can also comment on your tires and rims for others who may be looking for feedback on a certain wheel or tire

Re: The "Post Your Wheel & Tire Pictures" Thread

To be honest i have no idea what brand wheels i have but they they are 16.5x10(on the truck when i bought it) and the tires are 38 x 12:50 Super Swamper's and i am happy with the way they have worked for me. Grab well enough in the mud that i have no trouble keeping the d 44 broken

Re: The "Post Your Wheel & Tire Pictures" Thread

16x10 M/T Classic locks, Swamper Trxus STS 39.5/15/16 Bias. The rims look real nice but when washing about 3/4 inch of water collects inside the rim due to the bead lock ring and it makes them a little hard to dry. Tires are nice on the pavement, quiet , a little bump after sitting a couple of weeks untill they round out. Over all I think they look good and have run well. Any body know how they work in mud?

Re: The "Post Your Wheel & Tire Pictures" Thread

I knew they wern't much of a mud tire, just wondering how they may do. I have used them in about 20 inches of snow and they seemed to work very well. locker front and rear helped.

Re: The "Post Your Wheel & Tire Pictures" Thread

I just talked to a guy at the local shop where I had the tires mounted for my wifes car,he said they suck in the mud!But he said they are great on the street and in snow and sand as one of the guys that works for him has them on his blazer.

Re: The "Post Your Wheel & Tire Pictures" Thread

Thanks, I did'nt think they would be good in the mud. I've also heard they wear real fast, but I only drive the thing about once every 2 or 3 weeks.

Weld Typhon's 16.5x12 in 35x15.50 SuperSwampers. Love the look of those MT's on the orange Blazer. How do they ride? I think I am ready for a different kind of rubber.

My uglies...12.50/35 Goodyear MTRs on 10x16 "D" holes w/Chevy centercaps that will never ever rust:

I believe these were 36" Mudders,truly can`t recall.That was in`81.Check my matching spare.I figured what the heck,even the wheel`s wrong:

14.50/37x16.5 Armstrong Extra Tractions on 9.75 Cepek spokes.I had that truck from`77-`82.Drove it from Maryland to Flagstaff,MD to FL,MD to Hatteras a few times:

Here's mine: BFG 37X12.50X17s on 17x8 American racing slots.

Rears rub a little when I get crossed up on the trail, or pop the clutch hard and get the wheel hop.

They ride great, no shaking or anything. I do wish I would have used a 12" wide wheel as opposed to a 10" Like I had before. Oh well. I like your truck looks good

Re: The "Post Your Wheel & Tire Pictures" Thread

I'm finding out that getting 16.5 inch rubber is becoming scarce. I guess I will be getting a set of Micky Thompson baja belted before they are discontinued in about 6 months. Not really crazy about getting rid of my Welds just yet.

Re: The "Post Your Wheel & Tire Pictures" Thread

I here ya, I used to have 16.5 x 12 weld super singles with 38.5 swampers, and I was having a hard time finding a tire for that wheel, thats why I sold those and got what I have now, just wish they were 12" wide, no one makes 12" wide wheels much any more. good luck
