What headers for a dropped 65?

I have looked all over for full length headers that do not hang below the frame. the only thing I found were 3/4" length headers but lost the link and cant find it again. You guys know of any 3/4" or full length headers?

Look up Heddman Hedders. I have a set on my lowered 62...If I remember correctly, they were listed as headers for 60-66 Truck...

Re: What headers for a dropped 65?

If you want full length you will have to build them. I run block huggers but if you want a touch more bottom end go mid length.

Re: What headers for a dropped 65?

I remember seeing some that were 3/4" length but cant find the link. Anyone seen them? I am trying to run the longest header available but not go below the frame. I am trying to keep everything up inside the frame. Block Huggers dont do it for me , there are no power gains with block huggers. If I was to go through the effort of putting on block huggers I might as well leave the stock exhuast.

Re: What headers for a dropped 65?

I would suggest taking a look at headers for an early Camaro or Nova, or maybe an Impala or Chevelle too. Typically car headers don't drop down as far as truck headers. I just don't know if they will clear the front x-member on the truck though.

Re: What headers for a dropped 65?

I had hooker competition headers on an El Camino of mine and they hung pretty low. Supposedly the Super Comp headers are tighter fitting. So car header might not fit any better. Plus the big a-arms might be in the way of a car header.
