Well, I paid too much, then they screw you on "fee's" after you win the bid. But, oh well, I got it. I will pick it up tomorrow. I sure hope the 454 will run good!

Well, I do have that rust free cab.....but not fot this one. I am going to do a body swap, but not sure what body yet??? I think I am going to build one to sell???

Joe,I don`t know what you paid(not asking).But,the buyer`s remorse will fade and you got a good staert on a body swap.You`re used to buying fine original survivors,that`s all.

Well, Total I am in it for $1845.00!!! I think that is too much, but I will see??? I am getting ready to put a carb on it now and see if it runs?? Wish me luck!!

Well, It runs and I drove it around!!! I am going to drive it to the dump Sat morning to get rid of the junk in the bed! I think I am going to sell the big block and put a 350 back in it. I actually think its a 396, but I haven't checked the numbers yet.

Does it show signs of being restored?If it hasnt...its in pretty good shape for being mostly original except for the bed :/
Even still has the blue lockouts..So,whats the plans?Try to find a bed in good shape that matches the color of the rest for the most part or what?

Speaking as a torque freak, I vote leave the big block in it. When I pulled my 350 & went 500 Cad, I thought mileage would take a dive. Didn't drop at all. The only carbed 4.10 geared K20 I ever had that could break into the double digits was an '80 with a SB 400. It would do 12 if I kept it under 65.

I don't think ya paid too much. The box is the worst thing, but an easy problem to take care of.

Guys, it looks better than it is, it has been redone at some time and ALL the body is junk!! Lots of rust and putty!! It is shinny though!! The cab is junk too. I am going to scrap all of the body.
I am going to build a 4x4 to sell, so I don't want the big block. I want the money out of the big block. If I was going to keep it I would keep the big block!!

Joe, I dont think you got hurt, a good working th400/205 setup is worth 600.00 at least. I've seen guys spend more on one that is out and in unknown condition, factor in what a running big block with brackets brings and I think you came out ahead.

Rob, It does not have the 400/205, its a 350/205 set up. And the BB brackets are later model so???? I think i will be ok on it though. I am going in the morning to pick up a body that I might use on it. Will post more pics asap!!!!!
