pre 67 rear step fenders on our trucks

hey guys, i got a screamin deal on some pre 67 rear fenders, they are brand new- 350 bucks cdn, im looking for some 67-72 rear fenders but am having some probs, my dad is trying to convince me to scoop these up but i really want the proper year fenders on the truck, but now im starting to concider the older ones, what are your guys honest opinions on these on a 67-72, should i wait and get the right ones or do you think these would look fine too, it isnt going to be a show truck, just a clean daily driver, thanks guys

Ugh. I am a firm beliver in not putting 'square' wheel wells with 'round' ones. The '67-72 style has a nice, round wheel well, and I think that when people put the square fenders (whatever to '66 or '73 up) on them, it's just is fugly (no offense intened to those who have late model stepside beds on their '67-'72, it's just how I feel).

I do think that if it is a screaming deal, and the fenders are resellable (at a profit), buy the suckers anyway. Make a buck. It will be a few more dollars to put towards the correct fenders when you find them.

i agree with CKHD ... buy the pre 67 fenders .... put them on eBay ... sell them for a "healthy profit" ... pocket your windfall ... and then scoop up the correct fenders once you find them. I know its "easier said than done" because I too am looking for that "perfect set" of fenders .... they are out there, just requires patience. I found my passenger side fender ... now looking for that perfect driver's side.
