Stupid Human Tricks '07 (Bad 2 Days)
Long story shortened. Needed to put a bed on one of my '69s. Bed was on picnic table. Cab for (Chucks 70) was on back of '69. Stood bed up on end. Needed to get cab on picnic table. '69 has no reverse so I line it up with table and hook it to the rear shackle of the front spring on the '72 Blazer behind the front wheel so I can give it a little pull to get it to the table. It starts moving a little faster than I want (slight downgrade at this point) so I throw the Blazer in park and jump out to apply human brakes. Get it stopped only to find that my diaphram is the only thing between the cab and Blazer. (worthy sacrifice to a truck lover, right?) Decide breathing is pretty important so I yell for the son watching TV. (yeah right) Yell for the neighbor running the chainsaw next door (yeah right) Decide to take matters into my own hands. Push the '69 uphill (obviously adrenaline at this point) Hold IT with my right arm, take the chain off the Blazer with my left hand and pile it under the LR tire of the '69 for a chock. Run around the '69 and throw it in gear. Yell at son for watching TV instead of playing outside. Went back out, put cab on table, bed on truck, cap on bed, 20 other things. Wake up next morning. Head to work. Stop to get employees some lunch. Start feeling REAL bad pain in right side. Start assuming I may have hurt something internally. Walk into work white as a ghost. They take me immediately to the hospital. GUESS WHAT? Nope, 4 KIDNEY STONES. Grown men DO cry. Morphine DO work. BAD 2 days.

ooooh man! My backs been out for almost a week - 4 days prior, in pain - felt like I had been rabbit punched in right kidney.... still toughing it out and PRAYING it's not stones! I feel for you for SURE! ummm... remember, morphine helps you make some of the greatest promises you'll ever make... try to avoid wife and kids while under the influence! Best of luck!

Re: Stupid Human Tricks '07 (Bad 2 Days)
i hope you get better soon. just wait until those four pains in your side, decide to move further south. stock up on that morphine.
but on the bright side, you didn't rupture your spleen and hemorrhage internally. nor did you puncture a lung and asphyxiate from the tension pneumothorax. hang in there

OH MY GOD IS THAT FUNNY! Thank God I am taking these little pills, or that would probably REALLY hurt! Even my 2 teenage sons were howling. Thanks for that Bubba. Take care, Mike

Re: Stupid Human Tricks '07 (Bad 2 Days)
I could talk to you all day long about kidney stones. i've been getting multiples of them since age 14. in 15+ years, i've passed about 4 dozen of those little bastards. only 1 out of 6 of them is bad enough for the ER at this point.
worst pain...EVER. i know women who've been pregnant and had kidney stones - they say stones are worse than birth. Quote:

Re: Stupid Human Tricks '07 (Bad 2 Days)
and let's be honest, when the stone leave the bladder, the path that stone travels for women is a whole lot shorter and less tortuous than for men
