replacing sponge hood cushions?
anyone got any good tips on how to replace the sponge insert hood cushions on the under-side of your hood?posted this same thread not too long ago, didn't get any responses.gotta be a better way to do it other than to use a scraper/putty blade and push 'em out.i can see my paint gettin' scratched already!

putty knife or similar flexible blade will probably be the best way to get the old stuff out... single edge razor blade could be used in problem areas...
as long as you only scrape/cut where the new pads are gonna sit, you shouldn't have to worry about scratched paint cuz it will be hidden by the new pads.... any scratched paint in this area can be touched up before you install the new pads. I had my hood chemically dipped, came out clean as a whistle so I didn't have that problem... good luck.
