Re: happy birthday to me

Hey SoDak-
Sure dont hurt to use an upcoming b-day for an xcuse to buy truck stuff! Couple of months puts you in July. My son turns 21 July 6th. I used to paint a lot of signs for Inland in Rapid many years ago. They can get just about anything chassis and drive train wise for your pickup or your 18 wheeler!

Happy "Birthday"---DAC

That is coincidental! Can't get him to take any interest in old trucks tho. He's got about the ugliest 83 Chev c-10 LWB that the PO painted gold with a case of spraybombs. Was a county truck so it's school bus yelo underneath that fine paint job. Had a new 250 six and a CD player in it and got it cheap, so I guess its wheels anyway.

Re: happy birthday to me

my truck used to be a state truck, from all we can tell my grand father seen the original yellow paint under the dash and said that the only pick-ups he ever seen in those years were state trucks, plus the option list on it makes me think it was

-three on the tree
-power steering
-manual brakes

not sure though wish there was sum way to tell the by the VIN #

Re: happy birthday to me

My old 79 Stepside was the same city/state truck yellow. It had all the same low end options too ad it had been worn and abused to the highest extent. I definitely saved that one from the crusher! http://www.grossepointegothic.com/mo...es/79Stepside/
