help with brakes
I installed a power booster from a 80 chevy on my 68 this weekend I kept the original drum/drum mc and the drums and have made the connecting rod to the peddel longer but the only way I can seem to get any braking is to adjust the rod out so long that it keeps pressure on the drums which is causing them to over heat an fade. any thoughts or has this happened to any one else? thanks

Re: help with brakes
How did you extend the rod? It sounds like you might need to make the rod longer (if you went this route) because the pedal is dragging. Is the pedal against the rubber rest on the ebrake handle? Sounds like it isn't. Pics of the setup may yield some more replies.
