3/4 Ton drums question

Stupid question time again...

Can I use later model finned drums for a 3/4 ton without changing out the whole brake assembly??

Gonna be looking for fronts and rears soon, and the rears I have found are pretty out there in price..

Thanks in advance..

Re: 3/4 Ton drums question

I just finished the 8-lug brakes on my 1970. All of the parts you need can be found at O'Rielly's. Do not forget the $10 socket. Total cost was about $400. Another word of advice is do not stop at the front counter, go in the back and talk to the guys that order parts for the local repair shops. I have part numbers for the 1970 if you need them, I think it would be too much of a headache to try to match up new parts to old, the drums I bouught were 11" and not finned.
