leaf/coil frame differences???

Is it possible to convert a leaf frame over to coils. I know you would probably have to put in a center crossmember for the trailing arms to attach to. What Else? Anyone done this???

A 2wd LWB leaf spring truck has a cross member that is even drilled for the trailing arms to mount to but it does not have the brackets that the arms bolt to. You would need to add the shock cross member, panard bar mounts and I think their is somthing were the springs would bolt into. Also if it is a 4WD frame then all is off and you are on your own

Thanks Kevin. I guess i should have mentioned that I'm dealing with a 2wd. How hard is it to mount the panhard bracket to the frame in the correct position. Are the holes in the frame already. Does anyone have a leaf frame they can shoot some pics of. -Jonathan

Hey I am pretty sure it is just a matter of getting the brackets. I had a short leaf frame, and was considering doing the same thing. My frame had the correct holes. So just a matter of swapping the different pieces. My also had the crossmember Kevin Mentioned.
But I no longer have the frame to get you pics.
