Crunch time: TH-400 or TH-350???
time to take care of the tranny. should i beef up my turbo 350 or should i try and land a th400? its going behind my 454 big block (mostly stock with a few street goodies: 280 cam, demon 850, eddy performer rpm dual-plane). im asking because i plan on getting some head work done this winter and instgoing through other things to get more grunt. just wonderin cuz i dont wanna have to do the same thing next spring cuz i didnt do it right.

I wouldn't put a 350 behind a big block. I know they can be beefed up but...

If you do the 350 up right, you won't have any problems behind the BBC, besides, the 400 used more HP

The 400 is stronger but, the 350 will save you more gas.

the 400 is stronger but the gears are better in the 350 and the 350 should be if done right

A 350 built right will hold up just fine. The guy that builds mine is over near Seven Points and it VERY reasonable. His specialty is performance trannys.
