No but, I Want One.
Normally do all my own builds but, that is one crate that I would buy for sure if money allowed RJ22... |

Re: 572 annyone got one??
I cant afford to buy a motor for more than it will cost to fully restore my truck,I'm too poor so if I owned another 2wd again I'd just have to get a 396 and put on 572 valve covers to fool everyone

Re: 572 annyone got one??
Theres some pics on here from Raycn66 (awhile back) - he has a 572 built by some engine building company - can't remember the name - He actually ordered a 502(?) and they sent him the 572 by mistake - and no kidding, they didn't believe him when he called.... after they confirmed it was their mistake, they said "Merry Christmas" and told him to keep it! I met him in a hardware store parking lot and introduced him to the site - Cool Guy! I can't work the linky thingee but if someone looks, he's only had a few posts.....

Re: 572 annyone got one??
Has anyone driven a ride with that much torque in a C-10? What do you do to keep it under control? Don't get me wrong- I love gas-guzzling HP like anyone else in here- but I think you'd have to run street-slicks to get anywhere. I have a built 350 and I can't stick to the street when I stoke the coal. It seems you'd just get sideways with so much push on this mill.

Re: 572 annyone got one??
That's the one truck dude - thanks. I didn't hear him pull in my driveway - it was "mufflered" pretty well - he romped it a bit with the hood up - sounded strong but not like a rocket blaster - and when he pulled out of the driveway, it didn't appear to drive away any different than any other vehicle on the road.... now if he really romped it, I'd imagine it would fish-tail all over and back!
