Do they make such a thing???
As pre bent brake lines kits just for the front.I looked and cant find any for my 71 4wd.I ran the back axle lines and the line that go up the frame rail towards the front of the truck but the engine bay looks to have alot of bending to do and Im bending the lines my self currently. If I could find a kit just for the front that would be great. The sooner the front lines are ran,the sooner the motor goes in!

Re: Do they make such a thing???
If you wanted to go used you could look for a pull off. If not, then you are better off bending them your self. I am not aware of any brake line kit. Have you tried your local GM dealer?

Re: Do they make such a thing???
I was thumbing through classicparts.com catalog, and it looks like they have a 10 piece set for 71 4x4 shortbed, but they don't specify which lines. You might call them tomorrow.

Re: Do they make such a thing???
Check inline tube (they are online),or one of the board vendors. If they can't help, I think LMC sells them as a full kit, or you can get individual pieces.

LMC (at least) will sell whole kits or partial, like you want.Inline will sell any way you want.

Re: Do they make such a thing???
I looked at lmc and didnt see anything but 2wds listed...A 2wd kit wont work on a 4wd.Do the lines that run from the master cylinder/proportioning valve that run down to the frame differ on 2wd and 4wds?Pic below.I was thinking if I get that,I can bend the rest of it myself.I really dont wanna fork out the money to buy a whole kit since I just spent money on lines and a bender to bend them my self and have already bent all the lines from the rear axle to the engine bay.I was hoping they had a kit, like the one to the left of whats circled in red but its lists C10s,not K10s

Re: Do they make such a thing???
Lmcs brake lines are hit and miss, a friend ordered a set and they were way off but we made them work. I went with inline tube for mine and they are great. Id go with them again. Dont use classic tube, they are a pita!
I cant rember but does gmcpauls sell the lines? Might want to check since they arent to far from you, dustin. Last edited by Aarons72s; 06-05-2007 at 02:54 AM. |

Re: Do they make such a thing???
I should have looked at the catalog first.Hmmm...only 2wd.The only place the 2wd vs 4wd frame rails differ is right in that area. The 4wds rise more.Probably why they`re listed different.LMC is usually right for a reference on application of hard parts.
