Is this a good price?
I haven't bought exhaust in a long time, so tell me if this is a good deal or should I keep looking. I was quoted $371 for everything from the headers back; pipes (2-1/2" going into muffler and 3" coming out), super 40 flowmaster mufflers, 4" chrome tips, and labor.
What do you think, keep looking or go for it?  Thanks. Ronnie

I did the same thing with mine. Used aluminized pipe and had it siamesed, instead of the usual H-pipe. Mine comes off stock rams horn manifolds and I also had them split and flange the pipes behind the cab so that I could drop that section if I needed to drop the trans at a later date. Also have them run the pipes toward the outside of the rails if you are even thinking about a blazer tank at a later date. That way the heat isn't so close to the tank. Out here I had a known shop that does a lot of custom work and street rods and paid dearly for his reputation. I put about $750 in it. But that .060 over 350 sounds oh so nice! I always figure that you get what you pay for. Some times the quality costs a little more the first time around than cheapin it the first time and then having to revisit the job with more money later on.

That sounds right in the ol ball park to me, it's gonna all be welded right? Not just bolted together.

Sounds about right to me.I've seen cheaper but not with any quality.I would agree with Smitty about running out near or even outside the rails and also flanging it for access later(even if it costs a bit more the first time you use it you will save that and the $371)

Sounds pretty good -- prices for stuff in GA is probably comparable to what we pay in Okie land --
i paid about 300 for a similar set-up, (regular 40's tho, not Super 40's) only mine dumped in front of the back tires, (like a Ford Lightning) |

Thanks for the reply's, especially the tip about running them wide for the tank. I do plan on the relocation of the tank and wasn't even think about them being in the way. I would've been p*ssed in a couple of months when I had to move them.
