71 Cheyenne short fleet

I drive around in this little rust free truck because it runs & drives so nice. I can't seem to get it done, so the TG is primer, mirror holes, & faded hood...but new grill, ralleys, interior & no rust. The Gypsies just about wear me out with, "You want to sell it"...but they won't pay anything.

I don't drive mine much,I get compliments every time I drive it ,and someone wants to buy it about 1 out of 4 times I drive it, but no body wants to pay what its worth, so my boys will get the truck. I got it from my Grandparents which bought it new in 72'.and I think it's nice to keep it in the family.

yeah, same here...but sometimes you just have to give in, this summer after 22 yrs of the same guy trying to buy it, my dad sold his 1938 American Bantam coupe to a guy. this guy stopped buy at least once a year on his way through town see if it was for sale. it is being full up restored as we speak, it took 22 yrs to convince my old man that it was going to a good home.

funny thing though, the offered price never changed in all that time, gots to have patience i guess.

I have been asked so many times that I actually sold my 72. That was about 2 1/2 years ago. But after being without it for 3 months, I bought it back. Good thing I sold it to abuddy of mine and he offered to sell it back at the same price he bought it for. I have been stopped countless number of times to ask if I would sell it. And mine was a total bondo mobile. It's amazing what some waxed up paint and aluminum painted white spoke mags can do for an old rust rocket.

My truck isn't in great shape, and I live in somewhat of a yuppie environment, so not many offers. That is until I started working at a farm and ranch supply store. I had one guy come in every other week wanting to buy it for his teenage boy who was supposed to get his grandpa's 70 C-20, but it was totaled a few weeks before his 16th b-day. The price was right, but I remember too many of my dad's stories about how he regrets getting rid of some of his old cars. Wonder if I'll feel that way about my old Pinto? LOL

Only one guy has offered to buy mine. He offered $9000 the same week I lifted it back in late February. I do however, get a few comments and questions about the truck.

I can't recall anyone seriously offering to buy mine, but when I got ready to sell the one my son had (October 2001), nobody had any money. I never thought I'd have to give it away, so I held out for the internet. Listed it one night about 9:30 on trucks.com and the next evening it left the house for Fort Worth, TX (about 6 hours away).

I have too much in mine, too, especially considering the way it looks, resplendent tho it is in the multi-hued primer, white and black paint with the sliding serape seat cover. If it wasn't for the suspension and the flowmasters, I'd probably wonder what I was doing by keeping it. Oh yeah, I'm restifying it!

This truck is truly a hole in the air, surrounded by steel, into which I continue to pour money.

XXL: That was me. LOL j/k

I've had a couple of offers, but I try not to be insulted by how much they offer. It's usually $500-$1000, which is absolutely hilarious. I've got over $1500 in the differential alone. I put over $800 in the front and back suspension. No, it doesn't look pretty, and that's why I get the stupidly low offers, but that's because I'm not a Paint and Body guy.

In short it's MY truck, and I don't care how much I put into it. I'm not starting a truck restoration company. I do it for fun. I'M A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION.

In short I always say they can have it for $50,000. For some reason no one's interested.

I've had only 2 offers within the first 2 years after I bought my truck. Of course, that was when it was all one color. But I have had a few comments, is that worth anything?

I got devirginized this weekend. I found a note, asking if I was interested in selling the truck. Maybe all the wheel chocks kinda gave them the impression that the truck is abandoned. I've been replacing the power booster and master cylinder stuff, so the wheel chocks keep it from rolling into the street. The truck looks like hell right now, but its coming together slowly.

Several offers, $8500 cash, a new Silverado, 96 Collector Ed. Corvette, I told one guy I'd take $15,000 he said, "It's worth it" but didn't have the cash. Lots of offers, which I can't really understand, in my eyes the truck is only half done.

When I lived in Ca.. I got alot of people asking me "how much?" or leaving notes on my truck... one of wich was on a stormy day a guy left a note on my windshield...assuming I wanted to sell it was raining,,, ink ran off the paper onto my my cowl... I called him... but it wasnt to offer him my truck ... I think its rude for people to strut up to you and act like theyre doing you a favor to "take it off your hands for 3000.00"... The obviously have no clue... did have one guy pull up beside me at a major intersection and offer me 20,000 cash... I was nice... and just said if thats all you got you cant afford her...lol.... shes not for sale....... Thatd be like selling one of my kids... people dont leave notes on my kids asking to buy them

I got quite a few offers to buy my two. But as soon as I wanted to sell my K10 there was no one who wanted to buy it. So I came to the conclusion that most of the people offering were full of crap.
