Can this title be right????
Sorry about hammering y'all with questions, but being new to this era of trucks, I definitely have some! Just got the title from the PO today.
This title just doesn't sound right. It says its a 62 Chev K2500. Wouldn't a Chevy be a K20? There is a bowtie20 emblem on the cowl sections, but I know those are easily swapped. The VIN also has K25 in it. The tag on the left A pillar matches the paperwork. THEN it says it wieghs 2660! That sounds way too light to me, like at least 1000 pounds. My 72 C2500 wieghs on the title at 4070. Heres a pic of the important part of the title. Thanks for any help---DAC

Re: Can this title be right????
Sounds like a typo or a current computer system classification at the DMV in your state. Kentucky has the same type of classifications for the old 10,20, and 30 series trucks, now re-classifying them as 1500, 2500, and 3500. Jerry

Re: Can this title be right????
You may want to edit your post and remove your vin number from the photo...too easy to get replacement titles on old vehicles in some states.

Re: Can this title be right????
Actually there was K2500 models as well as 1000 1500 and 3500. The emblem on the side stands for 20 series truck wich includes the 2500. The serial # matches the descption you gave for the truck.
