Does anyone know if I can swap out the chassis from a 68 to a79? what I have is a 68 with a bent frame and I would like to put it on a 79 4X4 chassis. Can it be done? How much trouble? Thanks

Re: chassis swap
Nox exactly true.PM Mudder,he did this swap and has a awesome 67 shortbed using a 73-87 frame.Body mounts will need swapped, the frame shortened,or have a gap between the cab and bed, your choice and most likely a body lift.

Re: chassis swap
I was told the frame rails where to wide on the 1967--72 from the 1973--87 the 73-87 has a wider frame thats why the bumper and core suppot wont work unless you have a good amouth or welding time on your hands there are pleanty of 1968--72 frames laying around
