2 questions.....
I have newer style step side bed on my 72. Will a 15X11 mag fit in the wheelwells or is that too wide. What would be a good size tire for a nice meaty look?

I have 15x8"s on my 96 GMC with 275-60's and the fill it up with wise. I don't know how the new style stepide beds fit on our trucks, but I would imagine you'r gonna be limited by the back space of the wheel and I would guess that an 11" rim might actually hang past the outr lip if your limited to the same back space.
Just my observation from my 2 trucks asd a comparison.

I've got 285/70R15's on the back of my '69 with the original stepside bed. Its about the biggest I'd go and still have safe clearance.
Keep in mind, the picture is before I got rid of the spring-over shocks and replaced them with air shocks which I keep as low as possible for traction purposes. With the truck sitting at an unassited height, the tires have just enough room to squek into the fenders without rubbing. The rims are 15x10's also. Not much reason to go any bigger unless you wanna fit a 15" wide tire, and then you'll have to tub the rear out.
