Re: Tilt Front Clip
I believe US Body makes them. Chris (Kapt Kaos) has one.

Re: Tilt Front Clip
Does anybody have finished pics. of a tilt front clip? I agree that it is a relic of the 80's but if it looks good closed it would be nice to have that kind of access to the motor simply by tilting the front up.

Re: Tilt Front Clip
They used to have plenty on the us body source site.
They changed their site name so here's a link. Click on see more pics of this vehicle for more of this one, or click the right arrow beside it and see some other 73-87's with tilt front ends. The others are better because they don't have the catch on the side or handle whatever it is on the side of the red one. http://www.usbody.com/__Photo-Galler...y/73-001-a.htm

Re: Tilt Front Clip
Yeah that diagonal line on the fenders looks bad. You'd think someone would've come up w/a tilt clip that would slide forward and then tilt so that you wouldn't have that line. Oh well.

You lose access to the front of the vehicle, and now you have to worry about climbing over the fenders on the side to get to the engine. |

Re: Tilt Front Clip
I was thinking about a tilt nose but didn't like the seems on each fender, I thought it looked tacky.
I opted for a 89 Buick Park Avenue hinge assembly with only the hood opening from the cowl. Not to make it easier to work on my engine but just because no one in my area or at any of the cruise inn's I go to have one. Gotta get my duff in gear and Git-R-Done.

Re: Tilt Front Clip
Guys they make the tilt front ends UNSPLIT, that way you can cut them where you want them. I remember seeing them listed before, maybe not now, but before they had pre-split and just sinble tilt nose that you cut where you wanted.
